Public spaces always demand a flexible approach from any photographer, especially ones that are outside. As a nice shot of the pool, terrace or grounds is usually dependent on the cooperation of the weather. Over the years I have always tried to work around the elements to achieve the best result possible. A grey miserable day will often give way to a spectacular bright blue sky at dusk allowing just a few critical minutes to capture something enticing.
Guest rooms are often a challenge to photograph particularly if I am required to complete them within a tight time frame, for example between a guest departing and a new one arriving to occupy the room. However, as I have shot several thousand of them over recent years I would like to think that I can do this fairly efficiently now.
Hotel Lifestyle Images Gallery
If a hotel showcases many many images of it's rooms and public areas it is still not always possible to capture the true essence of the property without using intriguing little snapshots as well. Guests love to take a peep into hotel life before they arrive to try and experience the ambiance of the place. There is a desire to “look” behind the scenes at hotel staff preparing food, tending to rooms, assisting corporate clients in the business centre etc. People also like to see how fellow guests are spending their time at a hotel. Whether it be relaxing by the pool, dining in a restaurant or indulging in a spa treatment.
Restaurant Dining Gallery
This is always the best part for me as I often get to eat some of the amazing dishes that I have just photographed. Whether you are showcasing a simple breakfast layout, a wine bar or a dish prepared by a Michelin starred chef it's important to wet the appetite of your guests and encourage them to sample what you have on offer. Images can be used on the internet, in magazine advertisements, in printed material in the guest rooms and all around the hotels public areas.
